La Jaquita Beach, situated in El Médano, is one of the most charming and peaceful spots in the south of Tenerife. Far removed from the hustle and bustle of the busier beaches, this little paradise offers a relaxed atmosphere that is ideal for everyone, from families and couples to nature lovers.
Punta Brava beach is in the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz, located within the Playa Jardín complex. Also known as Playa Grande, it is a wonderful beach of black volcanic sand. Next to a coastal neighbourhood surrounded by solidified basaltic lava from past eruptions. It is an area with moderate waves and with the tides there is little change in the space of sand where you can lay your towel.
The beach of Las Teresitas is a very well known beach in Tenerife, it is very close to Santa Cruz in the village of San Andrés. It is a beach without a lot of waves thanks to the installation of dikes that attenuate the waves, it is ideal for spending the day with the family and strolling along the shore. It is 1,300 m long and has lifeguard showers and access for the disabled.
La Tejita beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Tenerife and also one of the largest, measuring 1 km in length. It is located in El Médano, Granadilla de Abona next to the Montaña Roja, a beautiful volcanic cone. The only drawback is when the wind blows hard, which makes it difficult to sit on the sand.
