Las Galletas

Las Galletas

Las Galletas is a fishing village; you’ll see fishing boats bobbing in the bay, a daily fish market on the seafront promenade, and not a single hotel in sight. It is situated in the town of the same name, in the municipality of Arona.

Next to the bustling marina and the seafront promenade in Las Galletas lies a sheltered bay where a beach of sand and pebbles offers an ideal spot for a swim.

This Tenerife beach is easily accessible, as you can park right by the road leading to the village of Las Galletas and walk down to the beach via one of the available access points. It is perfect for families and those seeking a peaceful break, thanks to its waters being sheltered by the harbour breakwater, which allows for safe water activities such as diving and snorkelling. The relaxed atmosphere also makes it ideal for those looking to unwind by the sea.

People flock to the area to take a dip and enjoy a delicious plate of fresh fish at the restaurants around the beach.

It is worth noting that one of Tenerife’s first holiday resorts, TenBel, forms the link between Las Galletas and its neighbour, Costa del Silencio, and has attracted Belgian visitors to the area for decades – hence its name.

Things to see in Las Galletas:

3. Las Galletas Beach

5. Charco del Baño
